064 片手打ち　Single hand

偶然日本に流れ着いた西洋人がもたらした鉄砲。
これを使いこなした織田信長は覇者となり、出遅れた武田家は滅亡してしまいました。

戦国時代の刀は「片手打ち」といって刃長短めで(２尺=60cm強)中心も短いのが
多いのですが、鉄砲の出現により刀槍は脇役になったからでしょうか？

日本刀は戦国時代には明(現中国)に１５万振りを超える数が輸出されたといわれて
いますし、国内でも膨大な需要がありました。
ひょっとして材料費をけちるために短くしたのでは？

"Katate-Uchi"(=single hand J.S.) is popular at Senngoku-Jidai(=The age of War)
Its length is not so long(2 shaku=60cm). And has short "Nakago"(=stem)

Is it because J.S. became a small part?

At that time Japan exported many J.S.(over 150000) to china.
And there was big demand in Japan. Is it stingy?
