B064 映り Utsuri(Reflection)
映りとは刃紋とは別に刀身に影のようにでる模様なのですが
はっきりわかるものもあるし、なかなか良く見えないものもあります。
焼き戻しの名残という人もいますが正直なんの形なのかよくわかりません。
しかし確かになにか形が見えます。
棒のように直線的なものを棒映り、乱れた形のものを乱れ映りと呼びます。
備前刀に多く、備前刀の特徴といわれています。
"Utsuri(Reflection)" is a pattern like a shadow on a sword.
It is diffederent from Hamonn(temper pattern).
Sorry I cannot explain what is it. Someone says it is a shape of annealing.
Straight shape Utsuri is called "Bou utsuri".
Disorder shape Utsuri is called "Midare utsuri".
