143 第二次幕長戦 2nd war between Cyousyuu and the shogunate
慶応２年(1866)６月、長州征伐の後、過酷な幕府の処分案に反発し、倒幕派となった
長州藩と将軍家茂が率いる幕府軍が再び激突、第二次幕長戦となりました。
高杉晋作率いる奇兵隊を主力とする長州藩は最新装備と旺盛な士気で旧態依然とした
幕府軍を圧倒。頼りの薩摩藩は坂本竜馬の活躍で長州藩と同盟しており、最高指揮官の
家茂まで７月２０日陣中で没してしまい。８月２１日幕府軍は敗北します。

Keiou 3rd(1866) on Jan,Cyousyuu changed to anti-shogunate because of
syogunate's severe disposal. On Jun,2nd war happened between Cyousyuu and
syogunate. Cyousyuu has newest weapons and full of the fighting spirits.
Shogunate army was an old style.
Satsuma domain formed an alliance with Cyousyu through the good offices of
Ryouma Sakamoto.
Commander Iemochi died on illness in a Osaka castle.
Syogunate army had lost on Aug 21th.
