128 坂下門外の変 The incident outside the Sakashita Gate
文久２年(1862)、和宮降嫁の立役者、老中安藤信正が襲撃されました。
幸い命は助かったもののこの一件で辞任となります。
このときも主となる武器は刀でした。
襲撃者は攘夷派の急先鋒水戸浪士。
水戸といえば烈公と呼ばれる９代藩主徳川斉昭は作刀もものし、
八雲鍛えと呼ばれる地肌で高名です。
Bunkyuu 2nd(1862),assassins attacked Anndou Nobumasa
in front of Sakashita gate.
Nobushige survived but he resigned. Main weapon is a sword at this time.
Assassins were Mito's Samurai.
9th Mito feudal lord "Tokugawa Nariaki" made a sword by himself.
His sword is famous of its Di-gane,it's called "Yakumo-Kitae(8 cloud forged)".
