116 享保名物帳 Kyouhou Meibutsucyo

享保４年(1719)吉宗公が刀剣鑑定家の本阿弥光忠に命じて作成させた古今の名刀の
一覧表、これにのっているものを「名物」と呼びます。本阿弥家には折紙を発行した
際の記録がありこれを元にして作成されました。その数２４８腰
幕末には子孫の本阿弥長根が２５腰追加しています。

Kyouhou 4th(1719) Syougun Yoshimune ordered Honnami-Mitsutada to make a list
of famous swords.
The book is "Kyouhou Meibutsu cyo(Kyouhou famous sword book)."

Honnami is a Tokugawa official swords connoisseur. His family has a list of
"Origami(the fold paper)".He choose good swords from them.
And make a list with sword's history.

The swords in this book is called "Meibutsu(well-known)".
