070 明智光秀 Akechi Mitsuhide
明智光秀に関しては「明智拵え」と呼ばれる一振りが伝わっています。
刀身は室町時代の無銘関物(現岐阜県で作られた実用本位のもの)で拵え(外装)に
特色があり革を着せた鞘を透き漆仕上げとして、柄は立鼓(リュウゴ)をとり鮫は
黒漆塗り、萌黄色の糸で片手巻きにしてあり、華美ではありませんがひきつけるものが
あり模倣作が数多く作られています。

でもハバキに桔梗紋(キキョウモン=明智家の家紋)をすかしているから明智光秀の差し料
だというのはちょっと無理があるんでないかい？
Akechi-Kosirae(Akechi fittings) is hold at Tokyo national museum.
Blade is practical use Seki(Now Gifu prefecture) sword (muromachi-piriod,16c). No signed J.S.
Its fittings is very good.
Tsuka is Ryuugo with Katatemaki(=one hand roll) moegiiro (=light yellowish green) ito(=yarn),Same is black japan.
Saya(=seath) is lether covered wooden sheath with clear japan finish.
It is regarded as Akechi Mitsuhide J.S.
because its Habaki has a balloonflower openwork.
They say baloonflower is Akechi Mitsuhide's clest,so Akechi Mitsuhide had it.
