057 青江 Aoe(=Blue River)
日本の象徴である天皇家が２つに別れて争った南北朝時代、
刀匠にもさまざまな運命が待ち構えていました。
備中の国(現岡山県)の青江鍛冶もそのひとつです。平安時代からの歴史ある一派ですが
南朝方についたばかりに武士でもあった青江鍛冶は争乱が南朝方の敗北に終わると共に
歴史の中に姿を消し、今では正確な居住地さえわかりません。
作柄は凛とした中になにか哀しみを感じるもので運命を暗示しているかのようです。
名刀とされていますが実戦で使われたものが多く、討ちこみ傷を持つものを２口ほど拝見しました。
マニアが多く在銘品はめったに売りに出ません。
In South-North government-piriod,some J.S.master family met their fate.
Aoe was a distinguished family which has a history from Heiann-piriod(11c)
in Bicyuu(now,Okayama prefecture)
Aoe took South government side. But South government had lost.
Aoe went out from a history. Aoe is a place name.
But now,we cannot know the correct location.
Aoe is excellent,but many Aoe were used in an actual warfare.
I saw 2 Aoe with fightng marks.
There are many Aoe enthusiast. Signed Aoe J.S. rarely for sale.
