056　南北朝時代　Nannbokucyou piriod(South-north government piriod)

1331(元弘元、元徳３)元弘の変　
後醍醐天皇倒幕を企てるが失敗、隠岐に島流しとなる。

1333(元弘３、正慶２)建武の中興
後醍醐天皇(96代)隠岐を脱出、足利尊氏、新田義貞、楠正成らとともに鎌倉幕府を倒し親政を復活する

1336年(延元元年、建武３)
後醍醐天皇、足利尊氏そにそむかれ、大和国(今の奈良県)吉野にて
南朝(大覚寺統、亀山天皇=90代の血統)をおこし、
北朝(時明院統、後深草天皇=89代の血統)との抗争が始まる。
湊川合戦にて楠正成戦死

1338(延元３、暦応元)
足利尊氏、征夷大将軍となり室町幕府をひらく

1339(延元４、暦応２)
後醍醐天皇崩御するが戦乱は止まず拡大の一途をたどる。

元こうをしのぎ、やっと落ちついた鎌倉幕府でしたが弱体化はいかんともしがたく
風雲児後醍醐天皇が登場します。
この稀代の天皇のおかげで日本は南北２朝に分裂し混乱のきわみに突入します。
後醍醐天皇が崩御した後も２王朝の対立は止みませんでした。

荒れた時代を反映して刀も異様な発達を遂げます。まだ王朝時代の香りをどこかに
残していた鎌倉時代の刀から殺伐とした大太刀に変化します。
山城国(現京都)が戦乱の中心になったため平安時代からの歴史ある山城国の刀工の系譜は
途切れてしまうものが多かったとされます。

有名な刀としては湊川合戦で正成を自刃に追いこんだ大森盛長の愛刀とされる
刃長１８０センチを誇る大太刀が拵えと供に大山ずみ神社(愛媛県)に伝わっています。

1331 Gennkou no Henn(Rebellion of Gennkou)
Emperor Godaigo try to attack Kamakura-Bakufu(government).But failure.
He was exiled to an island.

1333 Establishment at Kennmu
Emperor Godaigo escaped from irland. And fought against Kamakura-Bakufu with
great worriors,Ashikaga-Takauji,Nitta-Yoshisada and Kusunoki-Masashige. 　
They won.And Kamakura-Bakufu was died.

1336
Ashikaga-Takauji betrayed Emperor Godaigo. Godaigo escaped to Yoshino.
And he opened his dynasty(=South government).
Battle between South and North started.
Kusunoki-Masashige was died in a battle at Minatogawa.

1338
Ashikaga-Takauji became Syougunn. he opened Muromachi-Bakufu.

1339
Emperor Godaigo was dead. Bit Battle does not end.

Japan rushed into war because of Emperor Godaigo. He attacked Kamakura-bakufu.
Once he failed. But finally he successed. But he was dead with a broken heart
because a betrayal of Takauji,and confrontation in Emperor family.

J.S. changed big,macho and barbarous according to the time.
Yamashiro(now Jyouto) is main battlefield. So many old grea tJ.S. master
had gone out.

Famoous J.S. at this time is the Big blade J.S. that kept in Oyamazumi-shrine.
It is 180 cm blade length. They say it is Omori-Morinaga's blade.
He killed kusunoki-masashige.
