029 油をとる Remove oil
油をひきなおすために古い油をとりのぞきます。古くからのやり方では和紙をよくもんで綿のようにしたもので
まず刀身をふきます。その後打ち粉をふり、和紙でふきあげます。
First wipe J.S. with well crumpled Japanese paper.
And pat J.S. with "Uchiko"(Patting powder). Then wipe up with Japanese paper.
和紙をよくもむのは和紙のなかにときどき石気があり刀身に傷をつける場合があるので
もんで振って石気を取り除くためです。
Japanese paper sometimes has small stone. Because we have to crumple and shakeit well.
打ち粉はごく簡単に言うと砥石の細かい粉です。
Uchiko is micro powder of sharpning stone.
現代ではティッシュペーパーと無水アルコールで油をとるのがはやってます。
筆者はアセトン使ってます。ちなみに東急ハンズで ５００g 680円
In modern times it is OK to use tissue paper and solvent(alcoholic).I always use them at a maintenasce my J.S.
